How can architecture transform and elevate society and the quality of life it offers citizens? Bringing together 400 drawings, models, photographs, and film reels—many never before seen—the new exhibition Toward a Concrete Utopia: Architecture in Yugoslavia, 1948–1980 explores the diverse architecture of socialist Yugoslavia and its role in providing a collective identity for a multi-ethnic society, and how those ambitions resonate today.
